Here are some of the groups that will be performing.

Belmont & Jones
Belmont & Jones is the stage moniker for the superb, Tallahassee-based country-blues duo of Charlie Engstrom and Carrie Hamby. With Engstrom deftly picking National Steel, and Hamby providing standard-acoustic accompaniment, the pair conjure early blues greats such as Memphis Minnie, Ma Rainey, Charley Patton and Blind Willie Johnson. Both partners are strong, natural singers. Their repertoire ranges from familiar staples such as Tommy Johnson’s “Canned Heat Blues” and Fred MacDowell’s “Shake ‘Em on Down,” to obscure gems such as Geeshie Wiley’s “Skinny Legs Blues” and Frank Stokes’ “Bedtime Blues.” And their originals sound authentic enough to have emanated from the grooves of an old 78. Brian Smalley

Brian Smalley lives in Florida. Where is he from? That is a trickier question to answer. By the time he turned eighteen his family had moved all across the country twenty times. So, it is no surprise that wander-lust found it’s way into Brian’s soul, as well as his music. His first guitar at age 9 became his best friend, and all that traveling opened up a whole world to explore and create in. Brian has a special knack for putting together a musical set. He combines tasty covers from artists like Jerry Reed, John Prine, Grateful Dead, Bob Marley, John Hartford, Chet Atkins, Peter Rowan and Richard Thompson with audience-pleasing original pieces, and plays them with mad skill and pure energy. The songs Brian has written borrow from folksy, flatpick guitar and newgrass. He sings with a soulful, earthy voice and his live shows are just that: LIVELY! For the past twenty years he has made music his sole occupation and has four solo CDs under his belt. Brian has entertained audiences all over the Southeast and has played many Florida festivals such as Riverhawk, The Gamble Rogers Folk Fest,The Will McLean Music Festival, The Sarasota Folk Festival and The Farm To Family Full Moon Concert Series.
For Brian Smalley the wander-lust continues!

Dim Lights

Dim Lights is a group of 4 Gainesville area musicians playing lively down-home music. Ned Stewart, on guitar, has a fabulous voice and picking style, singing songs of Jessie Winchester, Claire Lynch, John Anderson, and Merle Haggard, Hank Williams to name a few. Karan Newman, on mandolin, fills in with a few vocals of her own and adds harmony to Ned's songs. Gerald Snyder is another fabulous singer. He adds a nice blend of ballads, bluegrass, and folk songs. His great rhythm guitar really fills out the sound, his harmony vocals are fantastic, and he adds some fin elodic leads to the mix. Chuck Spitzner fills in the spaces and provides a rhythmic strain with the upright bass. You’re sure to enjoy this quartet with their nice blend of Americana , country, lively bluegrass, old-time songs and instrumentals.
